The long season after Pentecost is a green season. At St. Dunstan's we like to think of it as a time for spiritual growth and development.
This season continues all the way until the Reign of Christ on November 25th.
The celebrations that occur between now and then include:
July 1st at 10am. Drop by with your picnic basket for a service of Morning Prayer in the back lawn.
September 9th at 10am. We celebrate the start of our regular programming including Sunday School, Wednesday Evening Centering Prayer, Wednesday Evening Study Group and many other exciting things.
Orange Shirt Sunday
September 30th at 10am. We remember those who suffered and those who continue to suffer from the systematic oppression of Residential Schools. We stand together as a community to pursue reconciliation with indigenous peoples and pray for the end of bullying.
October 7th at 10am. We commemorate the harvest season and give thanks to God for food to eat and to share.
Feast of the Dedication
Sunday, October 28th at 10am. We recall our ministry at St. Dunstan's and recommit ourselves as Christ's servants in the world. We welcome a special preacher, the Reverend Tellison Glover. Tellison is the Director for Mission and Ministry for the diocese.
All Saints & All Souls
Sunday, November 4th at 10am. This is a service of gratitude for all who have died. We name members of our community who have died in the past year and pray for ourselves that we might continue our journey in faith and be reunited with our sisters and brothers where every tear will be wiped away.
November 11th at 10am. We recall those who have sacrificed their lives for the values of Canada and wonder together what those values are and how we can pursue them peaceably.
The Reign of Christ
Sunday, November 25th at 10am. This final feast day before Advent is a chance to express our hope that God is draging this world toward a place of justice, peace and joy.
