DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to gather for the 6th Annual National 
 Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday\, September 30\, at 5:00 p.m
 . at our new location: Douglas Park Spirit Square (20550 Douglas Crescent\
 , Langley).\nThe evening's program will feature Red Hawk Drummers\, guest 
 speakers\, and personal stories.\nAn Educational Story Walk will be availa
 ble starting at 4 p.m. in the park that encourage participants to deepen t
 heir understanding of Truth and Reconciliation while strengthening their o
 ngoing commitment to this important journey.\nAs in previous years\, the g
 athering will conclude with a Candlelight Walk\, providing a meaningful op
 portunity to honour Survivors\, their families\, and Indigenous communitie
 s through remembrance\, reflection\, and solidarity.\nCommunity members of
  all ages are encouraged to attend and take part in this evening of learni
 ng\, remembrance\, and hope as we come together to acknowledge the past\, 
 reflect on the present\, and support the ongoing path toward reconciliatio

 nd difficult or triggering.\nThis event is presented through the collabora
 tive efforts of community partners including the Anglican Churches in Lang
 ley\, Encompass Support Services Society\, Fraser Valley Regional Library\
 ,\nInclusion Langley Society\, Insurance Corporation of BC (ICBC)\, Langle
 y Community Services Society\, Langley Hospice Society\, Langley Meals on 
 Wheels\, Langley Senior Resources Society\, Lower Fraser Valley Aboriginal
  Society\, New Directions English Language School\, and United Churches of
  Langley.\nThese local organizations serving the Langleys have come togeth
 er to create meaningful opportunities for reflection\, learning\, and a sh
 ared commitment to exposing the truth about the history and legacy of resi
 dential schools while advancing reconciliation. The event honours Resident
 ial School Survivors\, their families\, and those who never returned.\nEve
