Today we celebrate the ancient feast of All Saints transferred from November 1st. From early times the followers of Jesus gathered around the graves of those who witnessed to the resurrection of Jesus. They remembered their lives on earth and celebrated that they are alive in the presence of Christ. God’s Great Family is of every generation – past, present, and future. God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of the living.

Today we remember those who have died in the past year and give thanks to God for their witness to God on earth. Today we also celebrate the new life of Brendan as he commits himself to the way of Jesus in Baptism. With him we will renew our Baptismal covenant and promise to carry our ancestor’s stories forward to new generations, that all might now the loving work of God in Jesus.

A service of Holy Communion dedicated to all those who have died in the past year.

Come light a candle in memory of your loved one.

All are welcome to receive bread and wine (or juice) at communion. Gluten-free wafers are available for those with sensitivities.
