With Joy we celebrate!

On Saturday at 10am at Christ Church Cathedral, Lorie Martin will be ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons. This is a transitional diaconate leading to her ordination into the priesthood at the conclusion of her theological education.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Lorie's ordination will be a small gathering of 10. The service will be photographed and shared at a later time.

At 10 on Saturday, please lift Lore and her family in your prayers. Let us give thanks to God for the ministry God is working through her and pray for the entire church who will now benefit from her giftedness and calling.

You can find the Order of Service below to read and pray in your quiet time. While we cannot be in the same place, we can all pray with the same grace. 

Here is one of the prayers that will be said tomorrow.

Almighty God,
giver of all good gifts, in your divine providence
you have appointed various orders in your Church.
Give your grace, we humbly pray, to all who are now called
to any office and ministry for your people;
and so fill them with the truth of your doctrine
and clothe them with holiness of life,
that they may faithfully serve before you,
to the glory of your great name
and for the benefit of your holy Church;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
