Archbishop John Stephen’s visit NEXT SUNDAY: We shall welcome our diocesan bishop and provincial metropolitan to St. Dunstan’s on Orange Shirt Sunday. Wear your orange shirt (or something orange) to stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples as our community reflects on our commitment to truth & reconciliation in the Season of Creation. There will be a simple lunch with the Archbishop following the service. Come and meet John and learn about the exiciting signs of the spirit happening in the diocese and across our ecclesiatical province.

GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER next Saturday, September 26. THIS SUNDAY is the last day to sign up and we’ll let people know where they’re going/ number of guests Wednesday. Sign up sheets are available on the Welcome Table in the Gathering Space or register online.

Archbishop John recently appointed Clarence the new Archdeacon of Lougheed suceeding outgoing Archdeacon Andrew Halladay. He will be the second Rector of the St. Dunstan’s carrying this additional role following the footsteps of our beloved Venerable Bev Stewart. He is asking for your prayers.

Help Needed/Lay Ministry Opportunities:

  • Request from the local chapter of Mercy Canada: An Accountability Partner to meet weekly with a client it supported locally. The suitable volunteer should be a mature female with experience accompanying others.
  • A mature community member (female) is seeking housing on weekends in exhchange for assistance for household chores, errands, rides, etc.

Did You Know: St. Dunstan’s and Anglican Parishes in Langley are co-sponsors of this year’s Langley National Day for Truth & Reconciliation event at Douglas Park Spirit Square on Wednesday, September 30 at 5 pm.  Be there with your Orange Shirt to learn & walk in right relationship.
