Christians use big words to describe big ideas.

Now's the chance to figure out what they meant to our spiritual ancestors, and what they continue to mean to us today. The word "Doctrine" simply means teaching, just as "Doctor" simply means teacher. Doctrines are conversations between teacher and student where Christ is the Teacher and we are the students. Doctrine is not static, but alive and dynamic as each generation wrestles with the meaning of Christ in their own place and time.
